Queensland Historic Touring Car Association

The Queensland Historic Touring Car Association (QHTCA) was formed to promote historic touring car racing (CAMS Group N) in Queensland.  Many cars from the classic eras of the 60’s and 70’s are represented.

You will see cars like Toranas, Falcons, Monaros, Minis, Chevs, Jags, Mustangs, Cortinas,

BMW’s Escorts, Mazdas, Datsuns and many more racing as they did in their era.  There are up to 12 race

meetings per year for historic touring cars in Queensland and many more throughout Australia.

QHTCA promotes the Queensland Cup which consists of two rounds at Lakeside Park,

Queensland Raceway and Morgan Park.  The current series sponsor is Black Truck Sales and

sponsorship funds are used to reduce the entry fees for all competitors.

The cost of each car can vary but an entry level car will cost around $15,000.

Running costs will also depend on the car but a budget of $500 per round would cover entry

and running costs for a mid-field running car.
